T&M Protection Resources, LLC (“T&M”) and Cohere Communications, LLC ("Cohere") today announced their strategic relationship as a single source, cyber security provider. Formed out of the growing complexity of cyber threats, the alliance will pair Cohere’s facilities-based, managed IT services with T&M’s cyber intelligence and investigative solutions.
“Our affiliation with Cohere will enable us to uplift our advisory practice with a comprehensive set of managed IT security solutions. The pace and sophistication of cyber-attacks accelerated the need for this relationship - to identifying the gaps within our clients’ security frameworks, and to minimizing their exposure to threats,” said Paul G. Lewis, Vice President of Technology Risk at T&M.
The greater frequency and higher severity of cyber intrusions has created the demand for a more comprehensive approach. The combined talents of both T&M and Cohere will offer the full breadth of support - from protection of infrastructure and assets to incident response and crisis management. The alignment will provide customers with a unified solution that fuses the experience of industry experts ranging from T&M’s consultancy services to Cohere's cyber technologies.
“In today’s ever-changing cyber landscape, cooperation among the various cyber disciplines is critical. With the recent WannaCry and Petya ransomware attacks, it is only a matter of time before the next occurrence. This alliance will provide our clients with a single point of contact to deliver rapid incident response, and expert situation analysis capabilities,” states Steven Francesco, Chairman and CEO of Cohere.
As part of this strategy, T&M and Cohere are also in discussions to jointly develop a Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC). This centralized facility will be responsible for providing comprehensive cyber threat intelligence, data logging, analytics and forensic reporting. The CSOC will provide faster identification of potential cyber-attacks, as well as provide real-time cyber threat screening.
