Tailored & Personalized Security for Nonprofit Organizations and Houses of Worship

Community centers, schools and houses of worship are unfortunately no longer the safe havens that they once were. These nonprofits, often perceived as soft target locations, need to consider proactive security strategies similar to those in the corporate and private sectors but customized to their daily needs and unique challenges.

Understanding the Diverse Demands & Constraints of Nonprofit Organizations

While a nonprofit's security program goals are similar to its private sector counterpart, the experts at T&M are experienced in designing appropriate strategies to achieve these goals while maintaining the appropriate balance and mission of these organizations. Wide-ranging factors, including diverse membership, budget constraints and religious concerns, are incorporated into the full range of services available.

T&M has developed, conducted and delivered hundreds of assessments, security design projects and training workshops for synagogues, churches, temples, schools, yeshivas and many other nonprofit and religious institutions.

Examples of Security Consulting Projects for Nonprofit Organizations

T&M's Security Consulting Services division has worked with numerous nonprofit organizations on a wide range of security needs and projects, a few of which include:

  • A world-renowned cultural institution was undergoing extensive renovations to nearly double its gallery space. As a unique project that required continued and evolving security during the renovation, T&M worked with management, contractors and legal representatives to design effective, realistic and agreeable solutions. T&M is currently training the entire organization on security plans and procedures.
  • A New York City-based Muslim primary and secondary school comprised of almost 300 students engaged T&M to conduct a comprehensive security assessment. Subsequently, T&M's consultants were retained to perform additional services to include observing the implementation of physical and operational security upgrades; designing emergency drills; and delivering active shooter training.
  • A new, high-profile synagogue and community center in New York City retained T&M to design and develop a comprehensive physical and operational security plan for implementation during the construction phase. Recommended measures included unique, covert security solutions unrecognizable to the naked eye.
  • A global association of foreign language educational institutions from primary to post-graduate education contacted T&M to conduct multiple assessments of school campuses that consisted of diverse populations, varying locales and complex demographics. With the primary goal of identifying enterprise issues and developing baseline security and emergency operations standards, T&M has been able to replicate the success to the association's global network of schools.

Let's discuss your challenges and how T&M can deliver a solution that offers peace of mind.
