T&M is founded by Robert Trotta and John Molloy, who left the NYPD to pursue their vision of developing a premium security organization that would meet the growing demand for high-level protective services in New York City. Among the first security firms to effectively utilize the services of off-duty police officers, T&M is a pioneer in adhering to the highest standards for recruitment and training – well in advance of the New York State Security Guard Act of 1992.
T&M reorganizes as T&M Protection Resources by its current Chairman & CEO, Robert S. Tucker, a former prosecutor who previously served as the special assistant to the District Attorney of Queens County, New York.
T&M establishes its Executive Protection division. Services are based on the rigorous standards and protocols of the U.S. Secret Service and quickly expand to include global executive/personal protection, secure transportation and special event security operations.
T&M acquires the assets of Forensic Investigative Associates Inc. (FIA), an international investigations company providing corporate investigations and intelligence services, due diligence, monitorships and risk management services to clients worldwide. This acquisition contributed to the development of the robust Intelligence & Investigations services offered today by T&M.
T&M's Security Consulting Services division is founded, providing clients with threat and risk assessments, security master planning, security system design and other related advisory and risk mitigation services.
Pegasus Capital Advisors, L.P., a private equity fund manager, announces its minority investment in T&M. Established in 1995, Pegasus provides capital to middle market companies across a wide variety of industries and manages over $1.5 billion in assets through several private equity funds.
T&M begins acquiring various security and janitorial companies in Israel. Known today as T&M Israel, it is the leading security and janitorial company serving businesses, academic institutions, health care organizations and government throughout the State of Israel. Specializing in executive protection and command center monitoring, T&M Israel employs highly trained agents, all of whom are former members of the Israeli Defense Forces.
T&M acquires KCL Protective Services Inc. d/b/a Advantage Security, a privately held security guard services company headquartered in New York City.
T&M establishes its Cyber Security division, which today offers Compliance Technology Monitoring, Cyber Incident Response, Data Forensics and Information Security services.
T&M relocates its corporate headquarters to 230 Park Avenue in midtown Manhattan and opens the T&M Command Center (TMCC). Staffed by expert operators and information analysts who bring law enforcement and crisis management experience, the TMCC monitors and evaluates global information on a 24-hour basis and disseminates relevant data to clients, T&M personnel and field security and investigations agents to alert them to local security conditions. The TMCC also functions as a 24/7 emergency operations center and security/crisis concierge.
T&M becomes the first private security firm in the United States to offer Vapor Wake Explosive Detection Canine Services. Vapor Wake Canines are specially trained to be continuously alert to detect airborne odors emitted by explosive materials and track the scent of the explosives to its source.
T&M receives SAFETY Act designation from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for Explosive Detection Canine Services.
T&M establishes its Sexual Misconduct Consulting & Investigations division. Comprised of a team of former sex crimes prosecutors, services include consulting, training and prevention programs, and investigations into issues involving sexual misconduct and assault, sexual harassment and sexual abuse.
MSA Security enters into an agreement with T&M to acquire T&M's Explosive Detection Canine contracts and assets.
T&M announces the transfer of ownership of its Security Officer Services division to Universal Protection Service (now Allied Universal). The sale includes all T&M security officer services contracts and related management and operations personnel.
T&M establishes its Health Care Fraud & Abuse unit, providing health care fraud, waste and abuse management services, comprehensive outsourced Special Investigation Unit (SIU) services and litigation support with a team of Accredited Healthcare Fraud Investigators (AHFIs), Certified Fraud Examiners (CFEs), Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), Certified Professional Coders (CPCs), clinical reviewers and former prosecutors and law enforcement executives.
In response to the COVID-19 global pandemic, T&M partners with a team of medical doctors who are subject matter experts in infectious disease to provide comprehensive COVID-19 consulting services that include strategic reopening advisory services, Wellness Ambassadors and medical/health safety consulting.
